Mount Fuji (富士山, Fuji-san) is the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776 m (12,388 ft).
Along with Mount Tate and Mount Haku, it is one of Japan's "Three Holy Mountains" (三霊山 Sanreizan).
An active volcano that last erupted in 1707–08, Mount Fuji is just west of Tokyo, and can be seen on a clear day.

Nikkō (日光市 Nikkō-shi, literally "sunlight" or "sunshine") is a city located in the mountains of Tochigi Prefecture, Japan.
Located approximately 140 km north of Tokyo and approximately 35 km west of Utsunomiya, the capital of Tochigi, it is a popular destination for Japanese and international tourists, housing the mausoleum of shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu (Nikkō Tōshō-gū) and that of his grandson Iemitsu (Iemitsu-byō Taiyū-in), as well as the Futarasan Shrine, which dates to the year 767.
There are also many famous hot springs (onsen) in the area.

Onuma Park is an area of abundant nature, forests and lakes.
Although Hakodate is itself full of highlights, Onuma Quasi-national Park is an hour's drive from Hakodate.
This 9,083 ha park is at the foot of Mount Komagatake and includes Onuma, Konuma, Junsainuma and other lakes.
Onuma is the largest lake and is 24km in circumference with a depth of 13.6m.
A volcanic mudflow from Mount Komagatake once caused a dam to block a stream and thus led to the formation of Onuma.

Noboribetsu is located in southwestern Hokkaido in Shikotsu-Toya National Park.
Noboribetsu is a name from the local Ainu language which means "a cloudy river tinged with white."
This name refers to the large sulphur deposits in the area.
Noboribetsu is one of Hokkaido's best known (and most commercially developed) hot spring areas, and it is basically a one street village with hot spring hotels on both sides.
Visitors to Noboribetsu can experience the hot spring waters at the town's famous Daiichi Takimotokan hotel which has 20 different hot spring baths.

Shikotsu-Tōya National Park (支笏洞爺国立公園 Shikotsu Tōya Kokuritsu Kōen) is a national park in the central part of the island of Hokkaidō, Japan.
Named after the volcanic caldera lakes of Lake Shikotsu and Lake Tōya, it has a total area of 993.02 square kilometers.

Depart from the parking lot at the Mikaeri Pass and proceed along the walking trail set up at this location. Before long, you will able to see a quintessential example of a high moor in the Hachimantai area.
Due to the high elevation, frigid climate, and significant water content of this spot, peat moss and other plant residue decompose at a slower rate, which leads to an accumulation of peat layers resembling lenses when seen from the side.
